We have so many beautiful colours in Quebec during Autumn. These are just a sample !

A Corsican scene that I decided to render in cool colours as an experiment.

This river is always such a paintable subject. Sometimes, it is totally raging, but this was a calmer river that day.

I have painted this lovely, small lake several times, but the colors and reflections in the autumn is my favorite.

This painting was done for my latest Exhitiotion in Mai. I Found the Photograph on the Internet and with permission of the owner I used it as reference for this painting of course with some canges by my side.

Late afternoon light in the Vercors mountain range, October last year.

I did this painting of a bright winter day in Vercors early last year.

This is a studio painting, but based on studies on site near the C&O Canal in a Maryland suburb of DC. The spot is a favorite place for kayakers, since there is white water around the bend.

This was painted on location in January, near a boathouse on the Potomac in downtown Washington, DC (Georgetown). Both paintings show accessible nature in the metropolis and contrast the rich color and texture of autumn with the subtleties of winter. The same river, a few miles apart, but very different feeling.

I have been pursuing this painting for ages now but it keeps eluding me. I think maybe I am getting closer though.

Here I am attempting to work beyond my usual semi-realistic style and yet still keep the feeling of our Rockies.
