MY WORLD

AN EXHIBIT OF PAINTINGS WITH A THEME BY MEMBERS OF AQUANET ART
Claudia Artzmann
"Husi"
Husi is a little lake really named Husemer Lake where I go for a walk when I need to get some relaxation from a busy week. I can leave my house on foot and be there in about 30 minutes walk.
I love the Lake more in winter than in summer because then there are less people and the solitude just lets me totally focus on my problems and thoughts.
Just a beautiful place in my world.

"Sydney Harbour Sunset"
I found it quite difficult on deciding what to submit for this theme as the more I thought about it the more encompassing the idea became. In the end I picked this painting as it is done from a location to which I take all our overseas visitors for a picnic. It is a wonderful spot to spend a few hours with friends, good food and a bottle of wine!

"Des Orchidées pour Danielle"
I live in a world blooming in flowers.

"Magical Hideaway"
'My World' is being near water, living in an area of fishing, swimming, and enjoying the seasons...keeping busy painting subjects of nature and trees, landscapes with creeks, rivers, and lakes...entering competitions in watercolors and oils or whatever I feel comfortable painting, then truly enjoy having my work accepted. This is 'my world' as long as I am an active artist.

"Clematis"
I walked outside one spring morning this year and for some reason I looked up
at my clematis vine which had grown from a tiny plant to a big vine, it was in full bloom at the
top of my deck roof. Just splendid! The sun was just coming up behind a big tree
and was shining through the branches and backlighting the beautiful violet flowers. There were places where the light just glowed through the petals. I went back inside and got my camera
and took many pictures of this. And then I tried to paint it. This is the result! The corrugated plexiglass roof overhangs the deck and that is what the vine is clinging to as well as the posts.

"Winter Sunset"
"Winter sunset" is right in my neighborhood and I'll be seeing this
sunset many times from now until spring.

"Rossland's Skyline"
Rosslands, B.C. skyline represents my world because it is just that. It is the hub of "my light, my love, my home" and my art studio here in the scenic West Kootenay region of British Columbia, Canada. Rosslands high altitude gives unending vistas for painting and enjoying God's wonders.

"Storm King South"
I have lived all my life on this magnificent river. The mountain nearest on the right is called "Storm King" and has a scenic highway carved
around it's edge. This is the narrowest part of the river. In the distance is West Point, where the National Military Academy is built on
the site of Fort Putnam, a Revolutionary War fort. A huge forged iron chain was laid across the river, unsuccessfully, to prevent the English
from advancing North.
I have painted many views of these mountains, because the view is different every day.

"Leyden Street"
This is Leyden Street here in Plymouth MA. I lived there for a number of years in the upstairs maids apartment of an old building.
This is the oldest street here in Plymouth MA and I believe in the USA.
